Authentic Rural Farm Stay
Want to spend some time away from the city, rat race, noise, pollution and traffic, right in the middle of nowhere? Just an hour and a half away from Cape Town and you can enjoy the country life.
Klein Watervalplaas (little waterfall farm) is a mix of animal pasture and Fynbos covering an area of 25 hectares situated in the Overberg area in the Western Cape. The valley itself is named “Hemel en Aarde Vallei” which means Heaven on Earth Valley.
One only has to approach it to realize why this name holds true – wine estates galore and we’re not called the “corn belt” for nothing, as well as one of the top Canola producing areas in the country.
Water is abundant on the farm, which is bordered by its own perennial stream and has a small waterfall. Water is piped down from the slopes and fed to the various tanks on the property and provides the accommodation with water. The result is clean, unpolluted if slightly coloured, potable water.
